General Duties:

• Presides at all meetings of the Local Union and Executive Board.
• Maintain an ethically strong Local at all times.
• Oversees healthy functioning of the Local.
• Serve as a delegate to the I.A.F.F.
• Encourage diversity and inclusivity of the Local.
• Communicate the voice of the membership with the City and Fire Administration.

Floating Lieutenant - "C" Platoon

General Duties:

• Act on behalf of the President if absent.
• Responsible for the Union Hall and Lakeview Road properties.
• Director of Fundraising.
• Director of the Wilmington Firefighters Benevolent Fund.
• Serves as a delegate to the I.A.F.F.

Firefighter, Ladder-1-A Platoon

General Duties:

• Keep custody of general documents, records, books, and papers belonging to the Local.
• Keep an accurate record (meeting minutes) of the Local and Executive Board.
• Conduct general correspondence with the Local.
• Receive and disperse all money pertaining to the Local, Benevolent Fund, and FirePAC.
• Maintain and secure an accurate roster of the membership.
• Maintain website and social media accounts.
• Serve as a delegate to the I.A.F.F.

Lieutenant, E-1-B Platoon

General Duties:

• Serves as point of contact for members regarding grievances, unfair labor practices, and monthly labor-management issues..
• Responsible for developing and filing grievances.

Firefighter, E-1-C Platoon

General Duties:

• Improve membership engagement.
• Main contact for the membership to the executive board, and point of contact for all new members.
• Assist with the Wilmington Firefighters Benevolent Fund.
• Liaison for pension-related issues

Firefighter, Ladder-1-C Platoon

General Duties:

• Serves as the Public Information Officer of the Local.
• Assist with communications to the membership and public as needed.
• Manage the Wilmington FirePAC.
• Build and foster relationships with City Council members and local politicians.
• Liaison between the Local and local civic associations.

EJ Castagna, L-1-C

Current Term: November 2022 - November 2024

General Duties:

• Responsible for ensuring work-related injuries/illnesses are addressed and handled appropriately.
• Point of contact for members regarding Worker's Compensation.
• Develop initiatives to reduce and prevent work-related injuries.
• Develop initiatives to implement health screenings for members.
